About Resume Match Bot

Built by a former tech recruiter who spent 17 years on the other side of the ATS — to give job seekers the same visibility that hiring teams have always had.

Who built this

Zoe Vera spent 17 years in tech recruiting, using applicant tracking systems — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS — as a professional tool every day. She screened thousands of applications and watched strong candidates get filtered out not because they lacked the skills, but because their resume vocabulary didn't match the job description.

The pattern was consistent enough that she started coaching candidates on how to rewrite their resumes to match the specific language ATS systems scan for. Resume Match Bot automates that coaching — so every job seeker has access to the same keyword-matching insight that a recruiter gets from the hiring side.

What the tool does

Resume Match Bot compares your resume against a specific job description and returns an ATS match score, a keyword gap analysis, and an AI-optimized rewrite that closes those gaps — all in under 30 seconds.

The free tier shows your match score and the keywords you are missing. A paid plan ($12 for 24-hour access or $19/month) unlocks the full AI rewrite with all missing keywords embedded naturally in your bullet points, plus DOCX and PDF downloads.

There is also a cover letter checker: paste your cover letter alongside any job description to see your cover letter ATS score and the vocabulary gaps that reduce it.

Why ATS vocabulary gaps matter

Applicant tracking systems like Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and iCIMS filter applications by keyword match before a recruiter opens the file. The threshold varies — some roles require 60%, others 80%+ — but the pattern is consistent: resumes that use the right vocabulary pass; resumes that do not, do not.

Most job seekers do not know their match score, do not know which keywords are missing, and do not have time to manually compare their resume to every job description. Resume Match Bot automates that process so you can submit stronger applications faster.

After 17 years on the recruiter side, the most common reason a qualified candidate was filtered out was not experience — it was vocabulary. The candidate had done the work; the resume just did not describe it in the language the ATS was scanning for.

Role-specific keyword guides

Beyond the checker tool, we publish free ATS keyword guides for 50+ specific roles — from software engineers and data scientists to nurses, lawyers, product marketers, and physical therapists. Each guide lists the exact keywords ATS systems scan for in that role, with before/after resume bullet examples drawn from real job descriptions.
